# HOWTO
 0. Requirements (AFAIK)
  * MacOS or Linux (tested on CentOS)
  * ADK
  * NDK-r7c ~ r8b

  * MacPorts (for MacOS to upgrade tools)
   * sudo port -vd install wget
   * sudo port -vd install xz
   * sudo port -vd install git-core
   * sudo port -vd install cmake
   * sudo port -vd install grep
   * sudo port -vd install autoconf
   * sudo port -vd install libtool
   * sudo port -vd install pkgconfig
   * sudo port -vd install yasm

  * Install automake 1.11.x (for MacOS)
   # contrib can not be built with automake 1.10 or 1.12
   * cd /tmp
   * # @89623 for automake 1.11.3
   * # @91506 for automake 1.11.4
   * # @91935 for automake 1.11.5
   * svn co -r 89623 http://svn.macports.org/repository/macports/trunk/dports/devel/automake
   * cd automake
   * sudo port -vd install

  * Upgrade config.sub (for Linux)
   * upgrade config.sub of automake (to recognize `arm-linux-androideabi`)

 2. Fetch build scripts for mac
    git clone git@github.com:bbcallen/vlc-android-macbuild.git vlc-android-macbuild

 3. Build VLC app
    cd vlc-android-macbuild
    sh _pull-app.sh
    cd vlc-app/vlc-app-armv7a
    sh _reset_vlc.sh
    sh compile.sh
 
 4. Build customized VlcDemo (FOR MY OWN TEST ONLY)
    cd vlc-android-macbuild
    sh _pull-lite-armv7a.sh
    cd vlc-lite-armv7a
    sh _reset_vlc.sh
    sh compile.sh

# NOTICE
 0. This build is only for cross-compiling on MacOS, as I don't have setup any other *nix OS for now. You should follow the offical build if you need build on other *nix OS.

 1. Patches under /patches/vlc is OK for other build OS. They are licensed under LGPLv2.1, hmmm, supposed.

 2. This build is used in my own app. Some jni interfaces have been modified. You should modify or ignore patches under /patches/ports-android and /patches/vlc. Mail me if you have any problem about these patches.

# TROUBLESHOOT
 * Invalid configuration `arm-linux-androideabi'
   upgrade config.sub of automake, see _install_libs_on_centos.sh for more information
